The Sanctuary of Truth
The Sanctuary of Truth is a gigantic wooden structure rising 105 metres into the sky and fully carved out of teak. Conceived by the same tycoon who commissioned the construction of Erawan Museum and The Ancient City in Bangkok, this one is a strange fusion of religion, philosophy, art, and culture.
It is neither a temple nor a palace, even though it looks like a hybrid of both. Best described as a monument to Thai craftsmanship and a place to reflect, its awe-inspiring wooden sculptures and cravings pays homage to and are a reflection of the “Ancient Vision of Earth’, “Ancient Knowledge’ and “Eastern Philosophy’. It is also the only place in Thailand where you can personally get up close with two delightful and very playful dolphins.
Tips: Make sure you wear appropriate dresscode. No short pants, shirts without sleeves, or bare feet. Proper clothes are provided near the entrance if needed.
