Seoul N Tower is a global landmark and symbol of Seoul.

Located 236 meters high and perched majestically on top of Namsan Mountain, the Tower vows to wow you with stunning 360 panoramic views of Seoul. Before becoming one of Seoul’s most popular tourist attractions, Seoul N Tower was initially a radio, television, broadcast, and communication tower. The building spreads over 4 floors and has three sections for everyone: N Lobby, N Plaza, and N Tower Seoul.

Find yourself fully immersed in attractions such as Observatory, Alive Museum, and a Children’s Theatre. Perhaps, you may also want to declare your love among the hundreds of locks of love or wish a wishing well at the Wishing Pond. However, nothing beats the brightly lit night view of Seoul from the observation deck, along with a digital showcase of Korea’s rich, 600-year history through 36 LCD Screens to end your visit.

Οδός Αγορά Namdaemun

First opened in 1964, Namdaemun Market is one of the oldest and the largest traditional markets in South Korea, bustling with more than 10,000 retailers, vendors, and sellers.

Pulsating with a vibrant, lively atmosphere, Namdaemun Market is both a shopper’s haven and a foodie paradise, home to a maze of stores and stalls covering more than 66,000 square metres.

This market is the antithesis to the glitzy sameness of major modern malls, with its eclectic and dizzying array of products – from fashion items, jewellery, luggage, toys, carpets, stationery, hiking gear, fresh flowers, and electronics, as well as an extensive collection of Korean souvenirs. Be prepared to haggle – that’s half the fun of shopping at Namdaemun!

Street food is another huge draw here. Stalls selling local food is almost everywhere you turn. Spicy rice cakes, plump and juicy Korean dumplings, piping hot noodles, and other enticing local delights are offered here. Head down for a day of shopping and eating like a local.

Chungbu/ Jungbu Dry Fish Market

Are you tired of modern malls and themed cafes? Head over to the Jungbu Dry Fish Market for an authentic, local experience. Opened in 1959, this is the oldest dried seafood market in South Korea. You can find a wide assortment of dried goods such as seaweed, squid, anchovies, pollack, ginseng, and so many more!

The well-maintained market truly comes alive in the day, especially in the mornings, where most stalls are open. Your five senses are in for a treat of sights, sounds, and scents of dried seafood and dried kimchi permeating the atmosphere.

Stall vendors are friendly but competitive, jostling to offer high-quality produces at the best price. Everything available is up to 30% cheaper than regular markets. Stall vendors are quick to help pack all the food tight and sealed, making it hygienic and convenient to bring a good haul home.

Don’t miss sampling on local food while you’re there. However, if you are just looking to taste-test, snacks and seafood choices available at the market should suffice!

Tips: Make sure to try Ojang-dong Heungnamjip, a restaurant that has been serving naengmyeon, a cold dish featuring long thin buckwheat noodles for more than six decades.
